About Us

The Ristorante Pizzeria Laghetto in Carlazzo, located in the province of Como, offers traditional cuisine and excellent pizza in a cozy location nestled in the greenery on Piano Lake.
It was established in the 1960s as a small kiosk for the sale of sandwiches and drinks run by Felice Raineri. Over the years, it has passed to the second and then the third generation, expanding its offerings to meet every need of the clientele.
Today, open for lunch and dinner with a typical menu, it provides customers with an indoor room, a lakeside veranda, and outdoor seating during the summer season.

The Venue

With a welcoming and warm atmosphere, the indoor dining room, with roughly 100 seats, offers an ideal setting for unforgettable lunches and dinners, while the attentive staff takes care of every detail.
Outside, an additional 100-120 seats allow you to savor the house′s specialty dishes directly by the lake, surrounded by lush vegetation, just steps away from the bicycle path that circles the reservoir.
The venue is perfect not only for convivial lunches and business dinners, but also for all kinds of events and receptions such as weddings, communions, confirmations, baptisms, birthdays, and graduation parties.

Menu

Typical Lombard cuisine based on meat and fish

The cuisine is typical of the Lombardy region, with traditional dishes that are simple and authentic. It places a heavy emphasis on the quality of the raw ingredients and varies throughout the seasons. It ranges from polenta, mushrooms, truffles, and meats during the autumn and winter seasons, to lake and sea fish and lighter specialties during the spring and summer. During this period, large salads are never missing.
The pizza, prepared with traditional doughs, is a good alternative that is much appreciated by customers.
All of this can be accompanied by a good wine and a craft beer.

The Cuisine

Starters

Among the appetizers, you will always find platters of local cured meats and cheeses, and the missoltini from Lake Como, dried freshwater fish.
First Courses

The first ones vary according to the seasons: the classic tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms are always available; then there are lean tortellis and fisherman′s linguine.
Meat Main Courses

Among the meat main courses, all the most noble cuts: grilled or green pepper fillet, slices with porcini mushrooms, various types of escalopes, cutlets and much more.
Fish Second Courses

We offer a range of dishes, from mixed seafood grills to various fillets: gilt-head bream, salmon trout, salmon slices, and other specialties depending on the time of year.
Pizza

In the menu, you will find all traditional pizzas and some local specialties like the Laghetto with taleggio cheese and raw ham, the Mare e Monti or the Valtellina with porcini mushrooms.
Big Salads

Tasty and authentic, they are prepared daily with high-quality products. You can choose from Mediterranean, Caprese, Greek, and chicken.
Specialties
The Restaurant Pizzeria Il Laghetto, with a menu featuring both land and sea cuisine, also offers upon request or for special occasions, delicacies such as tasty fried frogs or duck a l′orange.

The former offers a unique and incredibly delicate taste, the latter a burst of sweet and salty flavor due to the pairing of the tender duck meat and the slightly sweet, citrusy sauce, made using fresh oranges and a bit of Cognac.

Team

The restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner with hours from 11am-3pm and 6pm-10pm, with longer hours during the summer period.

The management is friendly and helpful, with the members of the Raineri family dividing the tasks between the kitchen and the dining room.

The constant goal has always been to offer quality dining using carefully selected, seasonal ingredients, preferably locally sourced.
